Speech-to-text services

Speech-to-text turns what the caller says into the text your bot receives. You select the service while creating a bot connection, and can change it later on the connection's Settings tab.

The 'Speech-to-text provider' list offers the services AudioCodes has pre-deployed, plus any speech provider you have added yourself. Which region handles a pre-deployed service depends on your Live Hub region. See Global region support.

Set the language before the voice

Where a service asks for a language, that choice affects more than recognition: it also filters the text-to-speech voices you are offered, so the list holds only voices that speak the caller's language.

Set speech-to-text first for that reason. Changing the language afterwards re-filters the voice list, and a voice that no longer matches the language does not survive the change.
